I am currently a third-year student at the University of Toronto doing majors in City Studies and minors in Geography and French. As a native English speaker and a French speaker with a bilingual proficiency, I have been tutoring elementary students English and French for almost 3 years where I have been adapting to the different learning styles of my students to better accommodate their needs in the classroom. As a tutor for students at the elementary level, I strive to keep my students engaged, focused and excited to learn. I use Interactive/Participative Methods to continuously get my students to participate and attempt to answer questions as well as ask questions in class so that they are very clear on the lesson taught. I also use the Demonstration Method where I perform the work first to illustrate concepts and allow students to get a stronger understanding of key concepts. Read less
